How This Publication Works

Flaro Review operates under a transparent editorial framework. The following pages set out how articles are commissioned, how sources are selected, how errors are handled, and what obligations writers carry to our readers.

// Foundation

Editorial Principles

Flaro Review operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

Articles published on Flaro Review are editorial in nature and reflect the writers' observations on everyday wellness practices. The content is not intended as professional advice, nor as guidance for the management of any specific condition. Readers with specific concerns about their daily routines are encouraged to speak with a qualified wellness professional.

Flaro Review is an independent editorial publication focused on everyday wellness practices. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

From Pitch to Publication

01

Pitch Review

Writer submits a brief outline of the proposed article, including the central argument and a short list of planned sources. The editorial desk responds within five working days.

02

Commissioning

Accepted pitches are assigned a commissioning editor who agrees on scope, word count, and publication timeline. Writers acknowledge the disclosure requirements at this stage.

03

Drafting

The writer produces a first draft with all source references included inline. Any research cited is drawn from published material available for independent verification by the editorial team.

04

Editorial Review

A second editor reads the draft independently, checking factual claims, identifying unsupported assertions, and flagging tonal inconsistencies. The writer responds to queries before final approval.

05

Publication

Approved articles are published with a dateline, author attribution, and a revision note if the piece has been updated after initial publication. All published dates are accurate.

// Source Standards

What We Cite and Why

Flaro Review draws on peer-reviewed research, established reference works, and qualified sources with named attribution. Anonymous sources are not accepted for factual claims.

When an article touches on nutrition, exercise science, or personal development research, writers are required to identify the publishing body, the year of publication, and the scope of the relevant study. Generalised claims without attribution are returned to the writer for revision.

We recommend speaking with a qualified wellness or nutrition professional before introducing any new habit or routine to your daily life, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements.

// Corrections

Error Handling

Errors are an inevitability in editorial work of any volume. What matters is the procedure by which they are identified, corrected, and recorded. Flaro Review's corrections process operates on these principles:

Minor Errors

Typographical errors, formatting issues, and broken references are corrected silently within 24 hours of identification. A revision timestamp is added to the article metadata.

Factual Errors

Factual corrections are noted explicitly within the article body with a dated correction note. The original text is not removed — it is struck through and followed by the corrected version.

Significant Errors

Where an error materially affects the article's central argument, the piece is taken offline for revision. It is republished with a full correction notice and an updated dateline.

Reader Reports

Readers who identify errors should write to [email protected] with the article title and the relevant passage. All reported errors are reviewed within 48 hours.

// Disclosure

Commercial Independence

Flaro Review maintains a strict separation between editorial and commercial interests. Writers are required to declare any relationship — past or present — with brands, companies, or individuals that feature in their articles. Undisclosed relationships constitute a breach of the publication's contributor agreement.

Sponsored content, when it appears, is labelled at the top of the article as "Paid Partnership" and undergoes the same two-stage editorial review as standard articles. The editorial team reserves the right to decline sponsored submissions that cannot be presented in a manner consistent with the publication's voice.

Advertising placements on Flaro Review pages have no influence on editorial decisions. Advertisers do not receive advance notice of editorial coverage or approval over published content.

Writer Guidelines

All factual claims must be attributable to a named, verifiable source.

Writers must disclose commercial relationships at the commissioning stage. Late disclosures do not exempt the writer from the disclosure policy.

First-person accounts must be genuine. Writers may not fabricate personal experience as the basis of a factual piece.

Generalisations about broad populations require supporting data from named research published within the past seven years.

Articles should present considered perspectives, not advocate for commercial products or services without transparent disclosure.

Writers who become aware of an error after publication must notify the editorial desk immediately.
